What to pack for your city break.

What to pack for your city break.

A weekend city break is a great opportunity to explore a new destination and pack in as much sightseeing as you can. To save space in your case yet look stylish,  it's important to pack outfits that will take you from day to night – keeping you comfortable no matter what your plans are. As a fashion retailer specialising in curvy lady clothing, we are all about looking and feeling your best with the help of clothes!

See some of our packing hacks below to make the most of your wardrobe for your next trip.

 DRESSES

Pack versatile pieces that can easily be dressed up or down. A simple maxi dress is perfect for exploring the city during the day paired with a cardigan and heels at night, while a printed midi dress will look amazing when layered over jeans and boots.

There are many beautiful dresses for curvy women that are designed to fit and flatter so you look your best. Wrap dresses work well for women with a large bust and a curvaceous figure. It is also very easy to dress up or down making it a versatile piece of clothing. Wrap dresses highlight women's hourglass figures. The sleeveless cowl neckline draws attention to the bust and waist. The slight A-frame skirt accentuates a woman's curves by nipping in at the waist, then flaring out slightly just below your hip.

Midi dresses are also great for women with curves. The length is flattering, the waistline emphasises the smallest part of your waist and they give you that hourglass shape which really makes your curves look good. Wearing midi dresses with heels as they help elongate your legs making them look longer and more slender.

 WHAT JACKET TO PACK

Pick a jacket that compliments the tone of the clothes you are packing to allow your jacket to work with multiple clothing options so you can cut down on the number of jackets you need to pack.
We recommend a gorgeous trench coat or a lightweight rain jacket that can be dressed up for both day and night.
WHAT SHOES TO PACK
Comfortable shoes are a must for packing. You will be doing a lot of walking so pick shoes that will keep you feeling great all day long – from exploring the city during the day to going out for dinner at night.

Trainers, Loafers and boots will take you everywhere without weighing you down! Adding a pair of heels will help you multi-task your outfits and transform any look from day to night.
 FOR DAYTIME

Comfortable shoes are essential – it's likely you'll be walking around all day, so make sure you pack some ankle boots or trainers that will give your feet relief from high heels. If you're going to be sight-seeing then a dress is always ideal – it's light and comfortable, and will keep you cool in the heat. You can easily dress a maxi-dress up or down by adding a blazer and some sunglasses.
For wandering around the downtown area of your destination, chic trainers are also an option – they're comfy enough to wear all day long but still have that stylish edge. If it's somewhere hot then don't worry about covering your legs too much, a mini skirt and vest top will keep you cool and stylish.
A vibrant dress is always a winner for nights out - add some chunky jewellery and heels to complete the look.

FOR AN EVENING MEAL

When it comes to dinner time it's important to be dressed for the occasion – a cute cocktail dress is perfect. The best thing about cocktail dresses? You can wear them for any occasion, not just dinner out. So if you're meeting friends for drinks afterwards you won't need to worry about changing!
For cooler evenings try wearing tights with your dress - it helps keep you warm and also looks stylish.

If a  dress isn't your style, pairing a nice top with jeans or leather look leggings is another option. It's still going to keep you looking chic and you can wear it for an evening meal or drinks later on in the night.
 FOR A NIGHT OUT

When you're heading out for the night it's always best to be prepared – that means wearing something you can dance in. A slip dress is perfect for this, as it's flattering and comfortable enough to dance the night away in. If you're ready to go all-out glam then you can accessorise with jewellery to dress your outfit up.
FOR COLDER NIGHTS
A cute chunky knit is great for staying warm – just throw a leather jacket on top and you're ready to go.
Pair your look with your favourite pair of jeans to keep nice and warm!

FOR A LAIDBACK NIGHT

A relaxed outfit is the perfect outfit for those days lounging around your destination – but still staying stylish, of course! A chunky roll neck jumper is always a winner as it keeps you warm and looks great paired with some skinny jeans and trainers.

If you're heading out for drinks with friends, then a pair of skinny jeans and cute trainers are perfect – it's casual but stylish too.
FOR EXPLORING
When it comes to exploring the city there are two outfits that will never fail you; chic jeans and t-shirt combo or shorts plus jumper.
If you still want to wear something stylish yet practical, jeans are the best option for this. A pair of dark denim will look chic with a simple t-shirt or long-sleeved top.
PACKING HACKS

Wear your heaviest clothes at the airport: When you're trying to fit clothes and shoes into your case it's always a struggle! Save yourself the stress and possibly money by wearing all of your heaviest items when you travel to help make more room in your suitcase as well as reducing the weight.

Pack Laundry Bags to separate dirty clothes: Separate your clothes into colours and pack one laundry bag for each colour. This will help to keep your clean clothes fresh.

Bring Travel Size Toiletries: When it comes to packing toiletries, the smaller they are the better. Investing in travel size shampoos and conditioners means you won't have to take up space in your suitcase with large bottles of shampoo, skincare and deodorant.

Packing Cubes: Packing cubes are a packing hack that will change your life! They help keep everything neat and tidy so you don't have to rush around trying to find your favourite pair of jeans. Every time you open your suitcase, all of your clothes are neat and tidy which is the most satisfying feeling ever!
