Rieker is a German footwear brand founded in 1874, known for its Antistress technology — a combination of extra-flexible soles, soft linings and lightweight construction designed for all-day comfort. All Rieker shoes use EU sizing. Our range runs EU 36 to EU 44 (IRL/UK 3–10).

How to measure your foot

Place a sheet of paper on a hard floor. Stand on it with your weight evenly on both feet.
Trace around your larger foot with a pen, marking the heel and longest toe.
Measure the distance between the two marks in cm.
Add 1cm for walking movement and comfort.
Match your adjusted measurement to the chart below, and use your EU size as your primary reference.

Fit notes

Shop by EU size: Rieker manufactures to EU sizes, so your EU size is always the most reliable guide. The UK conversion can occasionally result in a slightly off fit, particularly in the heel. If you only know your UK size, measure your foot length to confirm before ordering.
Width: Rieker shoes tend to have a neat to standard fit in width — not as generous as some comfort brands. If you have wider feet or are between sizes, size up by half a size (i.e. go to the next EU size). Rieker also offers specific Extra Wide styles with a roomier toe box for those who need more width.
Antistress technology: Rieker's Antistress construction uses a flexible stitch method, soft inner linings, shock-absorbing soles and lightweight materials. This means the shoes adapt slightly to the shape of your foot over time, improving the fit with wear.
Leather styles: leather Rieker styles will stretch and mould to your foot shape with wear, making them a good option for those with bunions or wider pressure points.

Do Rieker shoes run true to size?
True to size in length, yes — but the fit is neat to standard in width. If you have wider feet or are between EU sizes, going up to the next EU size is recommended. Rieker's Antistress flexibility means a slightly larger size will still feel secure rather than sloppy.

My Rieker shoes feel tight in the toe box — what should I do?
Try the next EU size up. If the length is already comfortable but the width is the issue, look for Rieker styles marked as Extra Wide, which have a specifically roomier toe box and more volume through the front of the shoe.

What is Rieker Antistress technology?
Antistress is Rieker's own comfort system: flexible soles that don't restrict foot movement, exceptionally soft inner linings, shock-absorbing materials and lightweight construction. It's designed to reduce foot fatigue during extended wear without sacrificing style.

Are Rieker and Remonte the same sizing?
Yes — Remonte is Rieker's sister brand and uses the same EU sizing system. The fit characteristics are very similar; the same EU size advice applies to both. Remonte tends to focus on practical styles with zip fastenings and removable insoles, while Rieker covers a broader range of styles.
